People love minority music which comes from life and is closely related to people’s production and life. Minority music has a history of thousands of years. Some of these music express deep feelings and the others are for the production of labor and oral communication is regarded as the main way of these music. With the development of the times, the reform of social life, a large number of outstanding folk artists have passed away, as well as violent impact of global integration, and People’s demand for music also changed, which led to traditional ethnic songs were destroyed in different degree. Many are facing extinction and especially the folk music that performs specific historical stage of the minority music is gradually being forgotten. As some shanties, work songs and music for wedding or funeral customs. The modern media has played a huge role in how to let more people know and love minority music. This paper is divided into the following sections.The first part is the introduction including introduction of the present status of the research all the data sources research purpose the significance of this paper scope object research methods theory the author the investigation and the whole thesis outline.The first chapter describes the Chinese minority music program developed in local television media and it mainly starts from books that are prior to the radio and television media. For example" the soul of folk songs" of Beijing TV station in1999"Nanning International Folk Art Festival""music tribe" column of Inner Mongolia satellite TV"sang" column of Guangxi satellite TV"sea echo" column of Shanghai satellite TV "Chinese wind song--Chinese native folk shows " special programs of Shanxi satellite TV "Chinese native folk cultural journey of discovery" special program of Shaanxi satellite TV.The second chapter is an overview of the development of CCTV on ethnic music communication in TV medium. Western channel "charm12"column, Chinese folk songs. Two folk song festivals are "2006Chinesefolk dance festival"and "2012Chinese folk dance and music festival".The third chapter introduces communication of minority music in competitions. First the North-South folk song contest and Chinese native folk song contest. Second Western Folk Song TV contest. Third competition of young singers--" short-lived" original ecological folk songs contest.The fourth chapter is the content of interviewincluding experts and TV workers from various aspects on-site interview telephone interviewmultiple access and valuable informations found by many teachers. This chapter gives processing of these interviews that becomes an important part of the paper.The fifth chapter debates the essence through the phenomenon of content. We analyse the changes of ethnic minority music in the TV programs including losing audience and change of column’s form and shape. Next we analyse the development of ethnic minority music in the television media including the reason of the column evolution and the process of the evolution. We give reflection and suggestions of minority music in the TV communication. First deep understanding of the connotation of the ethnic minority music culture. Second how to better spread the minority music in the television programs. Third some viewpoints about TV media of minority music communication.
