The arrival of economic globalization brings a new Chinese lifestyle andnewcultural concepts,but foreign culture also has an impact on Chinese traditional culture.In modern times,the cultural industry has become a way to create social wealth.It's influence and the wealth it created have drawn lots of attention.Although the modernization of traditional culture is a means to realize the value of the traditional culture and a way to build a culture withChinese characteristics,social transformation and rapid modernization are gradually eroding the traditional national culture.Losing its ground for survival and development,lot of cultural heritage is gradually disappearing.How can minority ethnic arts not only keep its authenticity,but also adapt to the constantly changing needs of modern culture?And how can minority ethnic arts not only be maintained,but also have a broad space for development and recognition?The answer lies in making the full use of the mass media.In recent years,our country is increasingly giving more attention to the importance of minority culture,and minority culture is also showing signs of recovery,but under the impact of foreign culture,Chinese ethnic minority culture is gradually fading from view.Many ethnic cultural characteristics are being diluted due to the strong influence and the integration of the mainstream culture.TV media,as today's most direct and most widely used carrier of cultural transmission,plays a vital role in spreading minority culture.Hebei satellite TV has both a wired and wireless coverage of up to 97.9%of Hebei province.Some of the suburban areas of Hebei is not covered by Internet,therefore TV play an important role in the dissemination of minority culture.Based on the communication theory,the essay explores the relationship between the TV media and the popularity of ethnic minority music.Through analyzing the success factors of the TV program "The Best Chinese Folk Songs",this essay points out the effectiveness of the program as well as its problems.This essay tries to find an effective way to use mass media to promote minority ethic culture,and therefore to create a win-win situation for both.
