Gu Zhang county located in the central part of Hunan XiangXi autonomous region by the east, A region of music, blessed by the specific natural scenes. Making of the GuZhang county folk songs, is also by the local natural environment and humane environment of the natural space restriction and influence. What makes such isolated place to produce a lot of beautiful, mysterious, and possesses the folk songs of life? The cultural background of Gu Zhang may give you a glimpse.GuZhang country complex and varied terrain landform, mountains and steep slope, reach cliffs, is due to the terrain, local residents traffic inconvenience, few communication and exchanges with the outside world, the local people’s music oneness cultural transmission and development of tardy, only by word of mouth will be precious national folk songs passed down generation after generation, so save a lot of local folk songs. Compiled by the author through field tour and information way, the Tujia minority folk music of GuZhang county is divided into several categories, and through the actual music score characteristics of its melodic intonation, rhythm and tempo, modal tonality, and the lyrics is analyzed, and concluded that the GuZhang county, the general characteristics of Tujia music. Another aspect will be the GuZhang forms of Tujia folk songs, singing and vocal characteristics are analyzed, and the inheritance and development status of their thoughts and measures are put forward. The author studies the purpose of this subject is to through summarizing the Tujia minority folk music of GuZhang county features, to reflect on its widespread reason, to let more people know about the Tujia minority folk music of GuZhang county, and use these valuable materials for folklore collection and composition and performance.
