Ethnic Study Of Folk Custom Culture

As a kind of social ideology which possesses rich historical heritages, folk cultures have a great significance on the cultural diversity of the world and the development of the nation. Along with the economical development, folk cultures are vanishing because of change of our lifestyles、mode of production and inappropriate protections. Thus it needs to search the problems on protecting folk cultures and find out the coping strategies. This paper bases on the four kinds of classic models that the national local government adopts to protect the folk cultures at this stage, which are administrative protection mode, commercial protection model, inheritor of intangible culture protection model and spontaneous folk protection model, and Enshi Tujia Autonomous Region in Hubei province has been chosen as the survey region. By way of SWOT analysis, it can, in a qualitative way, figure out the advantages that the local government has in the process of protecting folk cultures. For instance,1.The National Local Government has positive effect on the policy guidance, building the cultural atmosphere and seizing strategic opportunities of the folk cultures’protection.2. The organizations have research on the intangible cultures’ protection and inheritance, they possess abundant data.3. Relevant industries have developed and drove the folk cultures’ inheritance. At the same time, it also can get the problems. For instance,1.The core function of the government is not perfect;2Protection laws did not keep pace with the development of protection;3Folk culture protection system is lack of power, especially the incentive mechanism of the market development;4. Protection of folk culture in the subject is not comprehensive, involving only the government and folk culture, people spontaneously participation is not perfect. From the analysis result, it can find the relevant countrmeasures:1. Perfect the support system of the local government’s protection of national folk culture;2. Build the core system of national folk culture protection of local government;3. Enhance the motivation mechanism of national folk culture protection of local government. The protection mechanism has a great significance on protecting of intangible culture heritage.
