Ceramic Art In The Spirit Of The Landscape

As a unique cultural phenomenon in the history of Chinese art,"landscape spirit" in Chinese traditional art has a profound impact on the Chinese traditional ceramic art. Similarly, it also has a very important meaning for the development of Chinese contemporary ceramic art. Chinese traditional landscape spirit embodied is mainly embodied in Chinese traditional landscape painting, and the stone elements in painting can be used as an excellent material in ceramic art creation.This paper is mainly to study and to unearth not only the landscape spirit connatated in landscape paintings, but also its influence on Chinese modern ceramic art creation. Finally, combined with the "spirit of the landscape",the paper emphasizes on my pottery creation-"a series about the born of landscape".This series is about the stone elements trefined from tradition landscape painting, created by the modeling features of the rockery stone,adding traditional landscape spirit in Chinese modern pottery creation,to mining in China traditional landscape spirit by the language of ceramic art,to innovate in the traditional foundation, to promote the broad and profound Chinese traditional culture, creating the ethnic characteristics of ceramic art with a local flavor. Our country renowned art historian Zhang Daoyi once said:"Study of our own art practically, which is not only contains our personalities, but also contains human universals." Meaning:"National art, the world’s art".
