Wedding customs has been the focus of the academic discussion, because marriage is not only of ethics, which is far more people can through rich marriage customs more clear understanding of the human society, exploring the basic law of social development at the ancient. With the rapid economic development, the commodity economy to the social life influence become increasingly obvious and important in Ming and Qing dynasties; At the same time, the neo-confucianism as a public also went to reach the limit degree, the marriage customs has had a huge impact.In Ming and Qing dynasties,marriage customs in succession on the basis of previous generation how development change, neo-confucianism as a tidy serious social norms and up and down the passage, but marriage customs also want to more secular, pragmatic turn the direction of development. The wedding customs have arisen unprecedented new changes.Taking Nanjing historical data as the foundation to the Ming and Qing dynasties is discussed marriage customs.Part Ⅰ,Introduction. We mainly introduce the maintenance of marriage problems to the related research situation, and the existing problems and the insufficiency in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Senior scholars on this issue in the research of unremitting efforts, the research content is also very deeply and widely, but around a specific area marriage customs problem is not very detailed, therefore the Ming and qing dynasties regional folk very be necessary to learn.Part Ⅱ, this paper discusses the problem of Nanjing marriage age in Ming and Qing dynasties. In Nanjing chorography and other historical data as the foundation, the Ming and Qing dynasties can be seen that men and women marriageable age which is men in eighteen to twenty years old, more than women in16to18years old. Compared with previous generation marriage age increase and tend to be stable, but due to the ancient times the level of social productive forces and eager to born boy to continue the concept of blood, early phenomenon is still common.Part Ⅲ,we analyze the wedding customs of Nanjing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It mainly includes discussion of marriage, be engaged, be betrothed three process. Another after marriage custom and concluded the marriage to have to follow certain etiquette and customs and taboos.Part Ⅳ, we discuss the Nanjing marriage customs and regional characteristic in the Ming and Qing dynasties era of. Due to the Nanjing convenient transportation, local people exchanges frequently, also bring diverse characteristics of Nanjing wedding customs.
