Marriage is always an important part of the study of discipline in ethnology andsociology, changes in marriage culture has much to do with social culture changes.With the deepening of the Reform and Opening policy, great changes have takenplace in social life of our country. As a necessary part ofsociety, marriages alsoreflect the changes in society. In national regions, major change also appeared in thetraditional marriage circle, embodying the regional marriage expansion, marriagebetween two nations increasing, and marriage information breaking through thetraditional channels. Under the guide of cultural change theory of ethnology, andthrough the field research of the regional and ethnic within families intermarry, Thisarticle focuses on the changes of marriage circle of Hua-ershan village in Zheng’anof Guizhou province during the1950s, and discuss and find the reasons which leadto changes of marriage circle.The paper includes three parts, the preface, the main body and the conclusion.The preface introduces mainly the origin and its significance of the topic, the studyreview, research contents, the research idea and method, the fieldwork pointselection, and the fieldwork experiences, etc.The main body includes five chapters: the first chapter deals with the researchtheory about mating and marriage circle, first explaines "marriage","the marriagecircle", and review the concerning research theories of the western scholars; Thesecond chapter is an overview of Hua-ershan village, describing mainly theenvironment of the village and the conditions of the nation, laying the foundation ofthe marriage circle and the changes; The third chapter is a study for traditionalmarriage circle of Hua-ershan village, probing into the range and the characteristicsand the causes which lead to marriage circle form, making comparison of marriageconditions of different periods of time; The fourth chapter is a study for changes ofthe marriage circle of Hua-ershan village, regarding the time as the clue, the regionaland ethnic within families intermarry as variable, to describe the change process ofthe marriage circle, and also explain the traditional peculiarities which remain thesame from generation to generation; Chapter5is an analysis for factors leading tomarriage circle changes, under the guide of cultural change theory of ethnology, the article presents the internal causes and the external causes which contributes to themarriage circle changes in Hua-ershan Village.Conclusion first reviewes the change process of the marriage circle ofHua-ershan village, and predicts the future trends of its development.
