From Novel: Chinese Phenomenon And Case Studies From 2005 To 2012 Adaptation

This paper studies the adapting problem of Chinese movie. The studyobjects of the paper are all Chinese movies adapt from novel between year2005and2012. The statics of all Chinese movies of the8years indicatesthat77movies among those are adapted from novel, with58movies areadapted from Chinese novel,7movies are adapted from foreign novel and12movies are adapted from network novel. The paper studies and analysesthe typical cases of every kind of movie, try to find out the characteristicand law of adapting of all kinds of novel.This paper consists of six major parts: preface, body and conclusion：The first part explains the purposes and meanings of this study, studyobject, literature reviewing，research method and innovation.The second part can be seen as a prologue to the paper. This partanalyses the history of novel adapting to movie to proof that adapting fromnovel is a common and important phenomenon in film history.The third part discusses the ethic problem of novel adapting to movie.Although Novel and film are different kind of art, they have so many incommon that under some circumstances one of them can transfer to another.After analyses all the Chinese movies adapted from novel between year2005and2012, the fourth part comes to conclusion that movies adapted fromnovel increased in number and show a trend of diversification in type.The fifth section is case study. This part studies3movies：”Let TheBullets Fly”,”Letter From An Unknown Woman” and”Love is not blind”,and find out the characteristic of each movies.The last part is a summary of this paper, it illustrates the reasonsfor the success and the gain and loss in choice of novel that this filmsadapted from。...
