China has been turning into the era of information explosion since the new century.With developing at an unimaginable speed,mass media has been inlfuencing every singlepart of social life including the producing and the spread of Japanese literature in MainlandChina.The methods of the research in this thesis which bonding the following three literaryphenomenons: the rediscovery of Yasutaka Tsutsui,constructing for the concept of Japaneseyouth literature,the classicized and symbolized marketing of Haruki Murakami in therange of Japanese literature published by Shanghai Translation Publishing House from2000to2012, are the investigation on paratext,the interview of editors who selected thetopic and the collection of related statistical data. Mass media is one of the importantreferences on translation selecting in the stage of topic choosing;The translation literaturewould be effected by the self-feature of mass media which either leading the changing onthe image and reputation of the authors and their works,constructing the aboard literarygroup,or be highly symbolized in the stage of spread.In the purpose of catching up withthe trend and hotspot of social life from the country of target language,the ifelds of literarycriticism in the country of target language could even influenced by this changing,and newpoetic discourse would be constructed accordingly.Changing of the system on topicselection,actively participating by the copyright agency,explosive developing of the massmedia are included as the main reason that manipulate and reform the translation literature.The crucial factor wich could manipulate and reform the translation literature wasconverted gradually from political ideology to mass media through Summarizing thehistory of Japanese literary translation in mainland China after1949. Comparing to theprevious, both the new features and the trend that commercialized more obviously of thetranslation literature has been emerged during these more then ten years in in a shroud ofmass media.
