| As the Nouveau roman theory’s pioneer and writer, Alain Robbe-Grillet alwaysinsists innovation, at the same time, he devotes to the exploration of literary theory.“New autobiography trilogy" is one of the most important creations in his later life, itis a new field of innovation and exploration. This paper interprets the value of literaryon the whole by trying to compare the “new autobiography trilogy†and the traditionalautobiography. It also helps us to understand the unique literature theory of AlainRobbe-Grillet.This thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter explores the uniqueness of "I" image through the comparison ofthe "new autobiography trilogy†and the traditional autobiography."I" image of the“new autobiography trilogy†bases on the true self, but it has the autofiction."I" is nolonger clear and solid in the world of the text,"I" not only lost the center position, andlost the voice of authority. The "I" in "new autobiography trilogy" is inconsistent,crushing, uncertain, blanking in the complex world, and "I" embodie AlainRobbe-Grillet has understanding of western society in the20th century, as well as tothe "self-understanding" the eternal theme of new thinking and exploration.The second chapter explains Krant and joins this character’s meaning in hiscomposition through concretion analysis of fictional characters in the "newautobiography trilogy". In the text, Krant is another narrator except “Iâ€, he is specific,illusory and his identity is multiple. This chapter attempts to base on a close readingof the text, the mysteries of the division of rand, discusses the significance of itsexistence.The third chapter summers the literature of Robbe-Grillet."New autobiographytrilogy" is the innovative experiment of Robbe-Grillet.
