Yang Jiang, A Comparative Study Of The Prose

As Lin Fei says that prose is a kind of full heart-to-heart style to the readers and thusmakes the readers feel infinite warmth, something you would like to go to chew over and overagain. The way of that "heart to heart" communication makes it easier for the readers that theycan know the writer’s heart between the lines into deeper spiritual communication. The prosebetween Yang Jiang and Zong Pu is a way of communication with the readers in "dialogue".Especially after entering the1980s, they express their experiences about life and emotion.When they write to express the same subject matter, their cultural mentality and prose styleare quite different. In this paper, the author analysis the ups and downs of their life experiencesand the special family backgrounds between these two authors and uses the method of closereading in the similar topic, comparison of prose reading to explore the similarities anddifferences between them after suffering the do-it-yourself mentality. This paper will be dividedinto six parts:The first part is the introduction, combing the existing academic studies between YangJiang and Zong Pu’s essay, stating the point of the research and putting up my own designing.Chapter one is about life experiences，analyzed from three angles. The first one is aboutthe modification of intellectuals. Secondly, their works all have their own perspective torecalling the goodness of humans. Thirdly, analyzing their spiritual dimensions of life;philosophy of thinking.The second chapter analyzes the sincere expression of emotional experience in their essays.They all choose to write about their own families and relatives to express their emotion. In therelevant subject, we can also see their different expressions about the emotions.The third chapter analyses the different artistic styles between Yang Jiang and Zong Pu’sessay. Yang Jiang’s humorous and real reconciliation make her essay a gentle style of life. ZongPu’s essay which deeply influenced by the Chinese culture is decorous and graceful.The fourth chapter explores the different styles of creation between the two writers and thedifferent ways they do things influenced by their emotions and life experiences. Yang Jiang has"stealth" wisdom of doing things and Zong Pu has more enthusiasm about society.The sixth part is the conclusion, first of all stating the significance and value of Yang Jiang and Zong Pu’s essays in the1980s from their courage to touch the scar and mourn life.Secondly, summarizing the gains and losses of this paper and trying to make certaincontribution on pushing the Yang Jiang and Zong Pu’s contrast research.
