Teaching Higher Ancient Poetry Reading

Ancient Poetry Reading has aroused people’s interest recent years, however, which has not been put much importance on in higher vocational education. Guided by the psychology theory, aesthetic theory, the tradition of poetry education, and philosophical ideas about the unity of man and nature, this paper researches, inherits, furthermore innovates Chinese traditional poetry reading methods, which presents the outstanding effects of the poetry reading in higher vocational education and appeals people to pay more stress on it. The paper researches the improving strategies about the poetry reading education in higher vocational colleges, based on the current condition of Daxinganling vocational college, trying to make the vocational colleges full of the beautiful sound of poetry reading, taking the development tendency of high vocational education and the current market demand for the graduates with all-around quality into consideration.Analyzing the relevant documents, the writer found the important reference value of ancient poetry reading education, especially on the choice of the contents, adjustment, quantity requirement, thoughtfulness and the charming of the poetry education. Those valuable experiences given by predecessors provided the ground for the inheriting and innovating of the current Chinese poetry reading education. This is an innovation of the dissertation.As we all know, poetry reading education in primary and secondary schools has get great achievement; however, get little in higher vocational education. By comparison and research, the write reflects on the present unpopular situation of poetry reading education in higher vocational colleges. During long-term research, the writer adopted the action research method to do a lot of experiences from the following aspects:creation of situation, appreciation education, student’s individual reading ability and teaching ways. Experience has proved that poetry reading and education in higher vocational colleges has significantly promoted the cultivation of the students.Firstly,poetry of high artistic quality nd taste is usually highly influential in vision and hearing. Ancient poetry reading education has been a way to improve students’appreciation ability by long-term exploration to various demonstrations, affected by the beauty of language, figures and artistic conception in the poetry. Secondly, ancient poetry reading education is the way to convey the beautiful sound, express the honest feeling, present the decent appearance, and arouse students’desire for beauty. Students can improve their ability to create beauty by reading them. Thirdly, ancient poetry is rich in content and succinct in style, which makes the poetry easy to study and practice, so ancient poetry reading education is the excellent way to improve students’expression ability, enlarge students’vocabularies, build their confidence and provide students with more opportunities to display themselves. To some degree, reading ancient poetry also improve students’expression ability. For those students who face with a tough job market, ancient poetry reading can also improve their competitive ability in job hunting. This is the other innovation of the dissertation.The higher vocational colleges should take the responsibility to pass the Chinese classic culture generation by generation. At last, the paper put forward the improving strategy for colleges and teachers, so that the poetry reading education can be developed widely in higher vocational colleges.This paper talks about the development of ancient poetry reading education from ancient to today, from theory to practice, from easy to difficult, abided by the clue:conception distinction-value study-practice and experience.
