Libo County, locating in the south-east of QianNan Buyi Ethnic Minoruty Autonomous Region in Guizhou Province, is a stylish community for multi-ethinic minorities, with Buyi ethinic minorith, Shui ethinic minorith, Miao ethinic minorith and Yao ethinic minorith as its mainforce. Yao ethinic minorith in Libo County belongs to three braches which are Baiku Yao ethinic minorith, Qing Yao ethinic minorith and Chanshan Yao ethinic minorith. Baiku Yao ethinic minorith mainly distributes at Yaoshan Town and Qing Yao ethinic minorith at Yaolu Town while Changyao ethinic minorith is comparatively scattered with Dongtang Town as its main location. The three minorities, together with around other ethinics, are charactirised with multiply ethics region, single ethinc minority community and interlaced distributed with each other. The language conditions are complicated which was not focused yet.By field research methods like questionare survey, interview and observance, the paper collects large amount of different first handinfomation about social culture, language ontology, language application, language ecology, language connections as well as ethinics relations. From the perspective of language ecology, the paper explores the language ontology, langage application, language attitude and language contact of the three ethinc branches under multi-languages conditions to summarize the charcters of Libo Yao ethinic minority language ecology and life in multi-language conditions, analyse its contributing factors and forecast its developing tendency.There are seven parts in the paper.:Part Ⅰ:The instruction summarizes the paper theis origin and meaning, relative research developments as well as research methods applied in the paper.Part Ⅱ:mainly focusing on the administrative division, popualtion allocation, natural ecological conditions and description in detials to the Yao ethinic minority language of the three braches.Part Ⅲ:summarizing the twice language investigation to analyse investigors’language ability and language usage under language ecological distributions and multi-language background in Yao ethinic minority area.Part Ⅳ:mainly searching for the language attitude in multi-language ecology conditions, including investigators’funtional recognition and emotional recognition to native language and second language.Part Ⅴ:analysing Yao ethnic minorith language in multi-language ecology conditions, and exploring the impact to Yao ethnic minorith language from Buyi language and Han language through the language and the lexicon perspectives.Part Ⅳ:concluding the characteristics of Libo Yao ethnic minorrity language ecology and life in multi-language ecology conditions, analysing its contributing factors and positively forecasting its short-term and long-term developing tendency.Part Ⅶ:the paper reaches some conclusions on basis of above exposition and lists the insufficiency of the paper.
