The thesis taking emphasis on the interwoven relationship between Chinesephotography and Chinese contemporary art since1980, trying to restore the socialenvironment of study, base on a large number of information about facts and theory,will serve the social product photography as in the role of the contemporary art in afull investigation, According to the period evolution, combing photography how toplay a role in the contemporary art and improve themselves, and researchingphotography how to use it’s ontology language to make a clear expression in thecontext of contemporary art.The main structure of the thesis is: the first chapter is introduction, firstly,combed the noun concept related to this article, and then summarized the researchachievements of predecessors, and explained the research purpose and meaning ofthis article. The second chapter mainly introduces the social background of China’smodern photography, regarded the photography as social products, overviewed itsproperties and development situation before the80’s, and made a preliminarydiscussion on the influence of western to the development of Chinese modernphotography; The third chapter’s studies focus on the developments after the80’s,during which highlights the changes in the characteristics of Chinese modernphotography, discussed the semantic shifting of the photography driving by thechanges of art and cultural field in the80’s, and preliminary explored the modernphotography in the context of contemporary Chinese art; The fourth chapter focusedon the analysis of the language characteristics of contemporary art photography, anddiscussed it’s existence methods and the significance as a way of artistic expressionwhen participating in the contemporary art, and how it is to combined with othercontemporary art form and produce a richer semantic; The fifth chapter summarizedand did some deep thinking of the first four chapters induction, such as thinkingabout the contradictions of photography’s semantic shifting in the process of China’smodernization, rethinking about the relationship between photography and Chinesecontemporary art and so on.
