Spring and Autumn is a period of social unrest. In this specialhistorical background, Qi and Lu women showed their unique culturaltemperament, and distinct era. Their representative or talented, learnedmuch knowledge; Or good character, understand the important principlethoroughly; Or slow and open-minded, enough wisdom to contend; Orintroverted, theone.In general, Qi and Lu women had distinctly differentfeatures, which showed the subtle influence of regional culture. Seen inhistorical records, Lu women were more introverted personality, while Qiwomen were more free, open, wise and utility. The similarities anddifferences of Qi and Lu women groups`characters from one side showshere the same and different, conflict and fusion of Qi and Lu cultures inthe context of traditional culture. This thesis focus on the basis ofwomen’s words and deeds in historical events in recorded history, such as“zuo zhuan”、“mandarin”、“column female biography”, to explore theSpring and Autumn period of Qi and Lu women groups`personalitycharacteristics between the two countries, and further analysis the culturalconnotation of women groups'personality in the two countries. The maincontents are:The first chapter discusses Qi women groups`personalitycharacteristics. Qi women has long been regarded as one of the most openand active ones of the Pre-Qi women. The group`s personality characteristics are vivid:the pursuit of fashion, free and open on genderconcept;ambivalence about etiquette; generous behavior, enough wisdomto contend; advocating the utility, strong desire to participate in socialpolitical activities.The second chapter discusses Qi women groups`personalitycharacteristics. Lu culture is the copy of West Chou dynasty culture, theinfluence of Chou rites ubiquitous, which led Luers`cultural character to"formality". Even in rites collapsing Spring and Autumn period, most Luwomen could abide the moral. Lu women abided rites, loyal, steadfast,righteous, attached importance to genders. They attached importance tolearning, advocating moral,and valued loyalty over money; the characterswere cowardice, rolling with the punches, not good at tactics.The third chapter discusses the culture connotation of Qi and Luwomen`s characters from the system culture, customs, and theConfucianism culture. The different regional cultures on connotationinfluence on people’s cultural personality obviously.
