From the1980s, The development of tragedy and tragedy theory is facing newdifficulties, for the extreme trend.On the one hand it tends to philosophyization,onthe other hand tends to generalization.There is a stark inharmony between the twotrends, this is why Tragedy and tragedy theory from the centralization to themarginalization. The exploration of the factors causing Tragedy is based on thisextreme trend.Throughout the history of the factors causing Tragedy among western countries,the research of which is limited in two approaches: one is the sight of sociologymethodology and the other is from the point of psychology methodology. Theanalysis of the theory of Tragic Causing Factor is to shed light on characteristic andthe connections between those two approaches. The emerging of tragic work is notonly affected the social history of Others’ Discipline but also limited by SelfDiscipline. It is the combination of those two that makes it work as well as the resultof conditions of the specific social society and reasonable demand of human being.The reason of the tragic work is always represented as sufferings and torture dueto the restrictions of society and history, and is also rooted in characteristic born withhuman. The conflict of life and death, sense and sensibility, ideal and reality is alwaysconfusing people’s inner heart. All kinds of social practice is unconsciously areflection of the conflicts while the ones representing self value making up themotivation of man’s emotional life and practice in life, boosting the process ofremolding the subjective and objective world, realizing the harmonious world of selfand nature. Tragic work does come the activities to transcend the restriction given bycertain social history and self-restrictions.This essay is based on the historical point of the development of tragedy work,starting from the initial stage of the form of tragedy and the process transformation ofTragedy Theory. By ironing out Western Tragedy Theory, the essay analyze andevaluate the factors of Tragic Causing from the perspective of social history andhuman nature, and shed light on the Combination Factors of Tragic Causing, andfinally demonstrate the value and influence of Tragic Causing Theory.
