Opera "Regret For The Past" Zi Jun Portrayal And Performance Analysis

Opera Regret for the Past is an indoor lyrie opera which is recomposed from Luxun’s novel Regret for the Past by Shi Guangnan. This paper stated its synopsis, features and background of the study object--Zijun. The two episodes of Zijun Last Sunset and Unfortunate life were analyzed in detail from the perspective of emotion and singing technique. In order to construct Zijun’s relatively complete character, this paper analyzed Zijun’s personal characteristic and singing style by choosing its’image from two representative and comparative phases. In addition, this paper analyzed the singing styles of Wanshanhong and Yinxiumei in detail and compared them from the perspective of characters locating, singing expressing and emotion processing, which provides more valuable references. Based on this, Zijun’s personal characteristic and image could be grasped and theoretical basis of better performing Zijun could be provided.
