"The Secret History of Mongols" is a history classic of the Mongolian language, history, literature, and even Mongolian cultural in13-14century. Many aspects of the study in "The Secret History of Mongols" are very thorough and detailed, but the study of vocabulary about the words classification remains to be further explored. Therefore, this paper makes a statistical classification about the words of time and position in the "The Secret History of Mongols", and then discusses their meaning in the "Secret History of Mongols" and the modern Mongolian.There are four parts in this paper, they are the introduction, the first chapter, the second chapter and the conclusion.The introduction describes the research purpose, significance, research methods, the required blueprint and the research overview.The first chapter makes a statistical classification about the word of time and position in the "The Secret History of Mongols", and presents in tabular form. At the same time, this chapter analyzes the rules and characteristics about the tone and standard Chinese characters beside their translation.Based on the standard translation and total translation, the second chapter explains the meaning of the time and the position words in "The Secret History of Mongols". After comparison, we put forward the differences between the old Mongolian and the modern one. The conclusion summarizes the semantic study about the words of time and position in "The Secret History of Mongols".
