The engraving print of Ming Dynasty is another peak after Song Dynasty, Regarding the engraving books of Ming Dynasty as the main object of study, this thesis aims to settle and explore the phenomenon concerning style of calligraphy and the inscription of masters in the engraving books,This thesis is divided into two parts, The introduction concemng the style of calligraphy of the the engraving books in the first part makes the eras as the main thread,namely, from the initial stage in Ming Dynasty to Zhengde period (1368-1521), Jiaqing to Wanli period (1522-1620),Wanli to Chongzhen period (1621-1644), just as divided by engraving books of Ming Dynasty, Combing the territory and different public or private verisons, style of calligraphy in the engraving books is discussed and the cultural reasons thereof is explored, At the ending of the fisrt part,the phenomenon concerning old style of calligraphy in the engraving books of later period of the Ming dynasty is mianly discussed and the underlying reasons thereof is explored, The format of engraving books and style of calligraphy in the later period of the Ming dynasty is monotony, In order to reverse this situation, some great masters add preface or postcript in the engraving books so as to make it more dynamic, The second part mianly settles the phenomenon concerning of inscription of the great masters in engraving books in the later period of the Ming dynasty and then textual research and discriminate the issue of affiliation of the inscription of the great masters in the form of case study according to the style of the existing works of the great masters,...
