Shiga Naoya(1883-1971), one of the representatives of Shirakaba School, is amaster who plays an important role in modern Japanese literature.《Anyakouro》is theonly full-length novel of Shiga Naoya’s works and it is created based on its predecessor《Tokitoukensaku》,furthermore,it takes25years to finish the whole creation, acrossevery period of Shiga Naoya’s literature career. The twenty-five years’ creation is thestarting point of this paper, which systematically analyzes the process of each section,expounds three stages of stoppage during the creation, probes into the inevitability andthe significance of the stoppages, analyses the transition of writing style between thefront half part and the continuation of 《Anyakouro》, discusses the necessity ofconversion from the pursuiting of self consciousness to oriental tradition culture ofShiga Naoya.Comprehensive analysis shows that:《Anyakouro》experiencing twenty-five years’time leads to its own particularity and the three stoppages are essential stages in whichthe final state of mind in Shiga Naoya’s real life turned into the hero’s. The transition ofwriting style between the first half and the continuation owing to the change of believesfrom early individual liberalism to late oriental tradition culture. Under the influence ofJapanese traditional culture, such return of the author’s to tradition possesses has certaininevitability and representativeness.
