Currently, ecological crisis is spreading in an unbridled way on a global scale, whichhas caused extensive concern of all social sectors about ecological problems. It has alsobecome an important topic for scholars concerned in various fields, especially in the field ofecological ethics where the comprehensive thinking and in-depth research have proceeded. In the respect of getting rid of ecological crisis and protect the ecological environment, thereis serious theoretical division between human centralism and non-human centralism. Theyhave been focusing on some issues, for instance, whether the moral community should beextended to all creatures and even the whole nature, or whether the nature has its intrinsicvalue. Global environmental protection movement, however, increasingly requires an openand unified contemporary ecological ethics theory, which will unify human centralism andnon-human centralism. Spinoza held a view of nature with rich implication, in which, human centralism and non-human centralism are unified. It also provides a solution for thetheoretical research on ecological ethics, guaranteeing a necessary theoretical support fordelaying and even eliminating the ecological crisis.Based on Spinoza’s view of nature as the philosophical theory foundation or one ofthe spiritual resources of ecological ethics study, as well as the accordance of hisontology and ethics, this thesis aims to reveal the harmony of man and nature as well ashuman relations, and then to demonstrate that Spinoza’s view of nature and ecologyethics are according, so as to give people some revelation for the transition of societydevelopment from industrial civilization to ecological civilization. In addition, it ishoped that the ecological ethics involved in Spinoza’s natural view can be internalizedin people’s minds. Promoting the revolution of people’s way of thinking as well asproduction and way of life, it has a positive effect on awakening people’s ecologicalconsciousness and guiding the ecological ethics practice.
