Engels History Research

Engels is one of the founders of Marxism, Historical materialism thought isfounded by Marx and Engels, and the development of Engels in his later years ofhistory further enriched historical materialism thought. But in Engels’s later years, thewestern scholars have much blame. They have pointed out that Engels is a positivist, orto be the economic determinist, some scholars think that Engels view of history to seeanyone, and ignore the effect of people. So further study of Engels in his later yearshistory is needed by theory and era. In this paper, combining with western scholars ofEngels in his later years history of criticism, one hand I get the objective description ofEngels in his later years history,on the other hand also for western scholars wrongunderstanding of the socialized production of history.In the19th century the nineties, significant changes have taken place in capitalistera. All kinds of monopolies have appeared and replaced the free competition, thebourgeoisie several of historical materialism ideological distortion. Engels in the face ofcapitalism appeared in a series of new challenges facing the new situation and thehistorical materialism, has further development of the historical materialism. Includingthe new understanding of socialism, and about the relationship between economic basisand superstructure, the relative independence of ideology theory and understanding ofhumanism theory,to fully understand the human history development have madeimportant contribution.
