In the post-Cold War era,the transatlantic relations especially security issues hasbeen attracting wide attention both in theory and in practice.The survival andcontinuation of transatlantic security community is an important issue in thisarea,there have been many versions of theoretical explanations on this issue.In recentyears,we have noticed the emergence of “Practice turn” in the academic literature ofInternational Relations.This paper tries to adopt the perspective of securitygovernance, taking EU and US as two different practice communities and securityagents,then through the comparison of their security governance ideas and practice wecan try to explain the divergence of their practice patterns and its impact on theevolution of transatlantic security relation.
