International Democrat Union (Conservatives International) Research

The International Democrat Union (IDU), is a working association of Conservative,Christian Democrat and like-minded political parties of the centre and centre right. In theassociation, the conservative soul plays an important role. As a member party, theKuomintang plays an importanr role and has had impacts on the global issues. The ChineseCommunist Party (CPC), since the reform and opening up policy was adopted, hastranscended the ideological difference and developed successful relationships with themembers of the IDU through “party to party” diplomatic channels. The CPC can expand theinfluence on the IDU by deepening its relationships with the members of the IDU.
