China and Australia are two important countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Theforeign policy of the two countries has a significant impact on the region, and Chinapolicy is an important part of Australias foreign policy. Since1949, Australias Chinapolicy has gone through several different stages, the rapid development ofSino-Australian relations.In the area of security cooperation, the two countries have also strengthenedcooperation. Australia said that the Chinese military is becoming more open andtransparent, and hope to build closer ties in the field of counter-terrorism,peacekeeping and disaster relief and the Chinese military.However, due to the obvious differences in ideology, social system, as well asinternational interests, Australia, in the field of security is still to take a moreconservative policy of dialogue, on the one hand, through the strengthening of theUS-Australia alliance and other policies and actively build bilateral and multilateralmechanisms to prevent and constraints, and the other a convenience combined withJapan, South Korea and other neighboring countries frequently put pressure onChinas foreign policy. Study of Australian policy for China s policy and nationalsecurity is of great significance.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part discusses the background ofthe topics, topics of purpose and meaning, analysis of and research in this articleideas, methods, and innovations such as the content of the topics at home andabroad. The second part of the first in chronological order of Australias foreign policyin the20th century, the swing, and then until the new century after the founding ofNew China, the development of Sino-Australian relations and the century AustraliaChina security policy statement analysis. The third part of the dynamic analysissecurity policy of dialogue from the economic as well as non-traditional securityareas such as Australia.The fourth part is the mechanism of the Australia-China security policy fromthe perspective of the US-Australia alliance, Australias domestic political parties, interest groups, as well as geopolitics theory. The fifth part is making analysis andforecast of Australia’s security policy towards China.This paper argues that Australias security policy to China will always be inAustralias national interest as the fundamental starting point, and on this basis tomaintain good economic and trade cooperation with China to actively. Althoughcooperation between the two countries in the fields of political, military, and scienceand education are constantly developing in depth, but the prevention of Australiaand cautious exchanges the status quo in the short term does not fundamentallychange.
