In this paper, using methods of the literature analysis and comparative analysis, Zhang Wentian’s Literary Thought, Historical Materialism, and his Founding Ideology in the May Fourth period were made Microscopic Examination of. I believe that, as my party’s older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, the connotation of Zhang Wentian’s Literary Thought, Historical Materialism and his Founding Ideology in his early years is very rich, which are also have distinctive personality traits. The paper makes a deep analysis of these three dimensions of Zhang Wentian Literary Thought, Historical Materialism and Party Building Thought to illustrate that it was inevitable for the youth group of intellectuals to choose Marxism finally in the May Fourth Movement filled with a variety of "isms" thought. Third, this paper explores the characteristics of Zhang Wentian ideological in the May Fourth period. Zhang Wentian ideological characteristics in the May Fourth period are representative, and can enrich Zhang Wentian Early Thought.
