Chinese Sea Power Strategy Research

This article mainly studies the problem of the Chinese sea power strategy building.In today’s economic globalization and integration, oceans have a vital role in nationaldevelopment. Developing the sea power and making the sea power strategy are a majormaritime nation consensus of the national development strategy. Because of the thetraditional land rights,Chinese sea conscious germinates lately,so the sea power developsslowly.Until now,China has not formed its own theoretical system of the sea power andthe sea power strategy. In this context, the establishment of sea power with Chinesecharacteristics and the theoretical system of sea power strategy, is particularly important.This article firstly starts with the western theory,puts forward the problem thatChinese sea power is different from the western sea power,then clears the exploration ofthe Chinese sea power,lately proposes the problem that China needs to build the sea powerstrategy hurriedly.Through the analysis of the plight and motivation of the Chinese sea power strategybuilding, a more comprehensive understanding of the status of the Chinese sea power thatthe sea power theoretical system is not complete and the sea power practice has a shorthandle, has posed a serious challenge to Chinese sea power building.After the motivationanalyse, economic restructuring, geopolitical change, science and technology developmentand marine huge space for ocean provides the feasibility of building the sea power strategy,the sea power strategy of the main sea power countries and the neighborous sea countrieshas been constituted a serious threaten to China,so building the Chinese sea powerstrategy is imperative.Therefore,this article proposes the new idea of building Chinese sea power strategyfrom the target, the principle,the building initiatives and the realistic response,which is thefocus of this study and innovation,developing a clear plan for the future of the sea power,can achieve the purpose of the rise of Chinese sea power and make a change of thecompletion of China’s maritime power from the ocean power.
