Zhou Enlai’s Good-neighborly Diplomacy Thought And The Contemporary Values

Diplomacy with neighboring countries is the strategic basis for peaceful foreign of China. We has always pursued the good-neighborly policy since1949.As a founder and leader, Zhou Enlai’s Good-neighborly diplomacy thought made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese diplomatic career. Studying of Zhou Enlai’s Good-neighborly diplomacy thought comprehensively and systematically has great significance for creating and maintaining harmony with our neighbors and keeping long-term stable surrounding environment.In this paper, I used the documentary research, historical research and the theory with practical principles to elaborate the theory of origin, contents and historical significance of Zhou Enlai’s Good-neighborly diplomacy thought. And I also investigated the revelation of building diplomacy with neighboring countries in the new era. In the paper, I tried to divide the contents into three parts.They are good-neighborliness, peaceful coexistence; good-neighborly unity and oppose aggression; good-neighborly cooperation and common development. And in this paper, I elaborated thoughts of foreign economic aid, seeking common ground while reserving differences ideological, people policy and so on. And I tried to use these thoughts to solve the practical problems, such as territorial disputes in the contacts with neighboring countries.
