This chapter is to introduce the UN peacekeeping basic connotation, mainly from the legal definition of UN peacekeeping operations, and legal characteristics,legal principles and legal basis to elaborate. At present, for the definition of the UnitedNations peacekeeping operations have not coherent argument, I imagine to legalcharacteristics of the United Nations peacekeeping operations as a starting point to elaborateon this issue, but, I also will leverage their expertise laws of United Nations peacekeepingoperations basis for review and summarize.The third chapter introduces the United Nations peacekeeping operations andcontemporary international law. This chapter includes three sections:(1) United Nationspeacekeeping challenges of contemporary international law; development opportunities (2)of the United Nations peacekeeping and contemporary international law;(3) through theGulf War this case to a detailed analysis of the problem, in order to achieve a combination oftheory and practice, and the legal issues raised thought-provoking.Introduces an overview of China and the United Nations peacekeeping operations. Thischapter is divided into two sections:(1) The fourth chapter describes the evolution of theChinese position on UN peacekeeping operations, as well as the construction of the future(2) China’s participation in UN peacekeeping and domestic law basis.
