A Research On Foreign-related Marriage Of Women From The Hometown Of Overseas Chinese

Since Chinese reform and opening up, China has exchanged with the other countries frequently, it intends to be diverse, which involves in politics, economy, society, culture, education, and family. An international intercultural marriage, as an important form of sino-foreign exchange of family, develops rapidly because of its increasingly developed economy and culture. As for this phenomenon, we should not only see its positive influence but also concerns with its main problems and contradictions during its developments. China today is still existing a patriarchal society, men are more likely to enjoy the high quality of social resources than women, so women are in a weaker position. In such a social environment, as the major part of international intercultural marriage, women are often found in a unfavorable position. In order to go abroad and make money to improve their living standards, these women would sacrifice their happy marriage and get married with citizens from the other countries without the basis of feeling. This paper, taking women’s international intercultural marriage of Fuqing City as the research subject and taking Fuqing City as the research carrier, makes a research and investigation through data collection, literature arrangement, personal interview and other forms. And this paper also puts forward the effective solutions through its quantitative and qualitative analysis.
