"Alien Land" And "Hometown": The Study Of The Beongingness Of Returndeoverseas Chinese

As one of the numerous farms in Guangxi, LaiBin overseas Chinese farm is acommunity composed by special historical causes and multivariate culture. In thisspecial community, there were living some returned overseas Chinese came from13 Countries and they kept interacting with the local people in life for about fiftyyears after their returning, which made them have belongingness in different extent.This article bases on the first research material and it study on the belongingness ofthe poor returned overseas Chinese in the overseas Chinese farm of LaiBin withsome relative theories of ethnic identity, interaction and belongingness, using fieldresearch method, participant observation, literature review method and interviewmethod, which are usually used in Ethnology and Anthropology to analyze theforming and changing process of returned overseas Chinese's belongingness. Thisarticle refers to that the formation of the belongingness is a long-term, dynamic andcomplex process and to enhance the overseas Chinese's belongingness needs effortsof all parties. By means of analyzing the identical condition that the returnedoverseas Chinese do to the local belongingness, which in one hand can enrich ourCountry's realization on arranging job for the special Chinese and help to doreflection to the problem occurring in the process of concentration arrangement; onthe other hand, by analyzing how the returned overseas Chinese who are known asstaying at the edge position and belonging to"weak group"to face the impact ofeconomic on the farm and the structural reform of the farm, which has come upwith some useful suggestion for the reform of the farm as well as its continualdevelopment in a new period.
