The higher institution which is the training base for the higher quality talents undertakes the historical responsibility of fostering the constructors and successors for the socialist modernization. Undergraduate Party members as positive excellent student group are active in every stage of colleges and universities. Their ideological and political quality is directly related to the prosperity of the Party as well as the socialist cause. Therefore, to grasp the ideological situation of party members and strengthen the ideological and political education has great significance to the role model of Party members in the students,as well as maintaining the stability of universities, making the students work well and improving the quality of educationThis paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction which describes the research background, research status, research purpose and significance, innovation points and research methods. The second part deals with the current ideological situation of Party members among art undergraduates. Based on personal interviews, questionnaires and statistical analysis of relevant literature, it is concluded that the mainstream of undergraduate Party members is good, yet there are problems in some party members, which can not be ignored. These problems affect both the group of undergraduate Party members and the entire student population; According to the actual situation, the ideological education task of the undergraduate Party members in high institutions has been reinforced and paid more attention to; it has achieved some success, but there are still some deficiencies which require further exploring and improvement. In the light of the analysis of questionnaires and the results of case interviews, the third part classifies the factors which influent the formation of the ideological situation of art undergraduate Party members; it provides the basis for proposing solutions to the lack of ideological and political education. The fourth part focuses on the countermeasures to cope with the lack of ideological and political education among art undergraduate Party members. Summarizing a large number of experts and scholars comprehensively and systematically, this part explores the results of questionnaire study. Unlike community Party members, adolescents are at the shaping and developing stage of outlook on world, life and values; taking this special nature into account, it proposes four available countermeasures. By illustrating the resultant force mechanism of four aspects, namely, the subject, the content, the carrier and the environment of ideological and political education, these countermeasures aim to strengthen, improve and build the ideological and political education among art undergraduate Party members.The innovation of this thesis is that it views the ideological and political education of undergraduate Party members from the professional perspective, which plays a complementary role in implementing the task of ideological and political education.
