Xinjiang is located in the northwest of China. As the biggest province of China, Xinjiang’stotal area is about one-sixth of whole China, and it borders on many other countries. By rightof its special geographic location, Xinjiang becomes a bridge between Asia and Europe.Furthermore, it’s also an important transportation hub for Silk Road. There’re lots of nations,religions and culture coexisted in Xinjiang because of its long development process andspecial geographical conditions, which causes complex national relations and deep nationalconflict and forms its unique national problems.Throughout the ages, all governments thought highly of Xinjiang’s national problems, butthe relations were always under unequal situations. The fundamental objective was to protecttheir own rule, and the ways they used most were oppression and exploitation. Comparingwith the past governments, the policies the Chinese Communist Party adopted towardsXinjiang changed fundamentally. When solving the national problems, the ChineseCommunist Party always kept in mind that the national equality and unity came first andcreatively combined the view of Marxism with the realities of Xinjiang to settle the problems.In early days of new China, the Chinese Communist Party used abundant national workexperience accumulated in revolutionary struggle to solve the problems; at the same time,they enriched their own national work theories, began a new chapter of Xinjiang’s nationaldevelopment and brought the national relationships into a new period.Part one of this text mainly introduced Xinjiang’s special location and national features,also analyzed activity status Chinese Communist Party took place in Xinjiang beforeliberation. This part analyzed the background of making national policies.Part two emphasized on the analysis of the process of making national policies and theirmain contents, including politics, economy, culture and education. By analyzing theXinjiang’s national policies, the text showed the essential differences of national policiesbetween the Chinese Communist Party and other parties. Moreover, it showed that thepolicies made by Chinese Communist Party were scientific and reasonable. A value analysis on how Chinese Communist Party made these policies towards Xinjiangin early days of China was discussed in part three. Meanwhile, in part three, it also analyzedthe influences of these policies on the development of Xinjiang and solving the nationalproblems.The policies Chinese Communist Party made towards Xinjiang was similar to other nations,but there were still something differences in implementation details, which could betterresolve Xinjiang’s regional problems. In implementation process, Chinese Communist Partyfocused on timely adjusting, summing up experience and flexible using these policies, whichreduced contradictions among nations, promoted the integration and maintained the stabilityof Xinjiang’s politics and economy in the early days of China. All these studies had a valuablesignificance for solving domestic complex national problems and how to make scientific andreasonable policies under new situation at present.
