The Methods Of Eliminating Spiritual Barren To Cultivate The Inner Life

Mental problem has been regarded as not only the subject of sociology but also the focusof philosophy as well. With the transitional period the economy and society beingdramatically developing our material life has been raised, but the mental one is still poorcomparing to the increasing wealth. On the contrary, the spiritual life is poorer than before,which badly affects not only the integrated development of human,but the progress of society.Therefore, it’s the important issue to enrich the cultural life, eliminate the spiritual barren andpromote the healthy development of inner life.The thesis consists of three parts. The first part applies the relevant Marx’s theory toelaborate on the terms, such as, Spirit, Mental Life and Spiritual Barren. The paperemphasizes on definition, classification and disadvantage of Spiritual Barren. The SpiritualBarren is degeneration involving to value, eduction, morality, psychology and thinking due tothe effects of material or non-material factors, so that spiritual needs for integrateddevelopment can not fulfills the living standard. Then the classification of Spiritual Barren,there are five standards, respectively, firstly according to agents it can be divided intoindividual, community and society; secondly it includes material, competency-based,household, psychological, educational and etc patterns due to the cause of Spiritual Barren;thirdly, because of its features it has be empty, contemptuous, arrogant and other types;fourthly, with regard to the content it is grouped into Marxism, lack of idealism and belief,knowledge poorer and so on; finally, in the view of effects the mild, moderate and severespiritual barren should be considered. Moreover, the Spiritual Barren has threedisadvantages, the disharmony between the human and the nature, the discompatibility ofindividual and society and the unintegrated development of human beings. This part is thebasis of the whole passage.The second part illustrates the performance and reason of the Spiritual Barren. Thoughwith the modernization people become richer in material and mental life, many persons lackof spiritual life, which has various forms, such as, the degeneration of belief and ideal, thefalling of morality, the overflowing of utilitarianism and pragmatism, the indifference ofpersonal relationship, the appearance of ill social psychology, the dullness and vulgarness of mental activity. From the above analysis the spiritual barren is negative to integratedevelopment of individual and community, and it triggers off violence. In order to eliminatethe barren the reasons should be pay attention to. The thesis explores the economic, political,cultural and subjective factors: In the economic aspect, the paper shows the influence of poorproductivity, negative marketing and the trend of consumption. Politically the defective policy,rules and publicity are introduced. Then as for the culture, the community should take themainstream culture, vulgar and moral education. From the subjective view the thesis devotesto tortuosity of value, inappropriate relationship and over leisure. All those analysis can helpto use the suitable remedy to eliminate the barren.The third part talks about methods of eliminating the spiritual barren from the economic,political, cultural and subjective aspects. With respect to economy the community improve theproductivity to lay the material foundation for the spiritual life. The market economy shouldbe full understood. The unity of spiritual and material pursuit should be advocated as well.The consumer had better develop a good habit of paying. Concerning to politics thegovernment play a good role to ensure the harmonious development of mental life. Thedemocracy and law should be perfect which is beneficial to inner life. The authorityvigorously advertises and enhances the humanistic care. Culturally the government shouldadhere to the sciolist core value and build the spiritual home; the whole society insists on theadvanced socialist culture instead of the inferior. At the same time education should be focuson and healthy morality should be cultivated. On the subjective point, it is important to reformthe value, have a happy life, pay attention to inner and civilization, enjoy life and enhance thequality of life.To sum up, during the transitional period the community should be based on theMarxism to improve life condition, eliminate the barren, enrich the mental activities and builda spiritual home of the nation. By doing those China Dream that refers to full development ofindividual and society can come true.
