The Materialization Of The Spiritual Life’s Tendency And Surmount Of The Contemporary Chinese

The spiritual life is people’s affirmation of the means by which their cultures exist and is a life field uniquely owned by humans.Whether people have a healthy and nobble spiritual life is an important sign for a country’s spiritual civilization.As the market economy develops and the capital logic penetrates into each aspect of social life,the problem that people’s spiritual life is materialized has become the prominent problem when constructing the contemporary Chinese culture.The materialization of people’s spiritual life causes inconvenient influences on people’s all-round development,the good operations of the society and the civilization ’ s progress.Moreover,how to recognize and solve the materializing tendency of contemporary Chinese people’s spiritual life has become a topic of research values.With concentration on this problem,this paper carries out a demonstration from the following three aspects.The first part expounds on the basic theories of the spiritual life.People’s spiritual life is higher than the material life,and represents the living means of humans as one spiritual existence.Their longing for scientific knowledge,insistence on morals and pursuits for spiritual values all belong to the spiritual life.Seen from characteristics,people’s spiritual life is transcendent,free and creative.Seen from the its relations with the material life,people’s spiritual life is determined and restricted by the material life,yet it can react on the material life.The development of them can represent certain unbalance.Seen from the role,people’s spiritual life is the field that represents human’s nature and the meanings for humans’ existence.It is an inevitable field for the all-round development of people.The second part comprehensively analyzes the materializing tendency of contemporary Chinese people and the cause for it on the basis of basic theories of the spiritual life.The so-called materialization of the spiritual life means people’s spiritual field is occupied by “materials” and people’s dependence over ‘materials” becomes the main leading relations in people’s spiritual life.The scale of “materials” replaces the scale of “humans” and becomes the scale for the spiritual life.The materialization of contemporary Chinese people’s spiritual life is represented as turning the spiritual life into commodities,market,money,vulgarity and vanity.Meanwhile,the root cause for the survival in the materialized society,the vulgarization and the utilitarianization of the social life suppress people’s spiritual pursuits and make them lack belief,which cause the spiritual home to be desolate.This is the main reason for materializing the contemporary Chinese people’s spiritual life.The third part discusses the methods of correcting the materialization of contemporary Chinese people’s spiritual life and means for transcending it.To overcome the materialized spiritual life,it is necessary to energetically promote socialist core values,cultivate the cultural pursuits that the masses uphold spiritual values,give play to the important role played by education to the quality of people’s spiritual life,and create a good social environment,so as to promote the healthy development of people’s spiritual life.
