Comparing with American dream which much emphasis on individual success, Chinese dream emphasizes the fusion of national interests and personal interests. Chinese dream vivid expressed the common ideal of the whole China, pointed out the development target of China’s future, but also provided the new direction and power for our development. we have made great economic achievements today, we ushered in the best time for Chinese dream, but we also face a lot of challenges of unfavorable factors."Chinese dream" is a new formulation, it is not a unified theoretical system, leading to understanding about the Chinese dream differ in thousands of ways. The purpose of this paper is to through the introduction of the basic theory relate to the Chinese dream and the specific analysis of opportunity and challenge to achieve Chinese dream, let people have a more in-depth and specific understanding of Chinese dream. The path analysis for achieve Chinese dream, is expected to make people reach a preliminary consensus on the realization of the Chinese dream.In the first part of this paper, first of all from the "prosperity-decline-Renaissance" of historical development clue to trace the ideological origin of "Chinese dream", then from the scholar’s controversial to the basic connotation of Chinese dream, put forward the basic connotation of Chinese dream are national prosperity, rejuvenation of the nation and the happiness of the people, and describe the basic meaning of the three aspects and the close relationships among them. Chinese dream based on the value pursuit of the Chinese nation from traditional to modern, based on the success practice of socialist modernization construction, has the distinct characteristics of Chinese: ideal and reality as a whole; historical inheritance and innovation as a whole; national rejuvenation and prosperity of the world as a whole; national development and the well-being of the people as a whole. Peace and development trend of the times to create a stable international environment for the development of China, the further development of globalization create reliable condition for China to enhance the level of economic development, scientific and technological strength and cultural level, the profound changes in the international situation is a great aid and advantage for China rise. While our country’s economic growth creates a solid material foundation for the Chinese dream, the development of democratic politics provides the system safeguard for Chinese dream, the development of cultural undertakings provides spiritual support for Chinese dream, and the outstanding communist party leadership provides organizational guarantee for the realization of Chinese dream.
