Research On Influential Factors Of Citizens Participating In Community Governance: Based On Citizen Participation In Community Governance As A Example Of Linfen City

The report of the18th national congress of the communist partyof China suggest it should pay more attention to improve thelivelihood of the people when we speed up the process ofurbanization. What’s more the real implementation urbanization isnot only depending on development speed, but also depending onthe qualitative change. Community governance is the foundation ofurban construction, promoting the development of communityconstruction and community democratic autonomy, and improvingthe level of citizens participation in community governance canraise the level of urbanization in our country, and it is one of theimportant ways to improve the quality of civic life.This paper tries to study the influence factors of citizenparticipation in community governance when an urban villagereform into an urban community. From the relevant concepts ofcommunity governance and citizen participation and mainly in thenew public service theory as theoretical basis, I choose twocommunities of YaoDu area of LinFen city for field survey inreference with the predecessors’ research result, and take the questionnaire statistical results as the basis of empirical analysis,concretely analyze the status of citizen participation in communitygovernance. The empirical results show that the Citizens’ publicawareness, self-efficacy of citizen participation, citizen’s politicalknowledge, community social capital, and the citizens of thecommunity’s identity are positively associated with the effect ofcitizen participation in community governance, and they havepositive a influence on it, but the awareness of citizen participationhas no significant effect on the level of citizen participation incommunity governance.Finally combined with the new public service theory and theempirical results, I attempt to put forward the suggestions toimprove the degree of citizen participation in communitygovernance countermeasure: provide a sound institutionalguarantee for citizen participation, strengthen the government or ofthe interactive community and citizen participation in communitygovernance at the same time, and enhance self-efficacy of citizenparticipation, enoughly play the role of the intermediary agenciesand community voluntary organizations, making more efforts tocreate diversified autonomous system, strengthen the education ofcitizens and training, and improve the ability of citizen participationin community governance, actively guide citizens to participate incommunity public affairs and public welfare activities, improvecitizen community identity and sense of responsibility, clear thedominant position of citizens in community governance, improvethe level of citizen participation in community governance.
