Research On The Relationship Between The Police And Citizens In Suzhou During The Process Of Modernization

The Police are responsible for consolidating the ruling Communist Party,protecting China’s safety, and protecting the citizens of China to enable them to safelylive and work. Its mission is to connect with the citizens closely. Currently, Suzhou is ata period where it updates its mission to make creation and achieve development. Therelationship between the police and citizens is affected by, for example, economic,political, social, cultural factors. The relationship is affected by new problems, so thepolice need to repair and develop the relationship, to enable the citizens to have agreater support of the police, to enable the job of the police to become easier, and tocontinually develop the relationship.This paper uses the knowledge of public management, research on the relationshipand characteristic between the police and citizens, and analyses the strengths andweakness on building the relationship between the police and citizens in Suzhou. Thepaper discusses the effect of the relationship made by economic, political, cultural andsocial changes, and emphasizes on measures to enhance and improve the relationshipbetween the police and citizens in the process of modernization.
