Autism Spectrum Disorder is a type of pervasive developmental disorder, which begins before3years and has seriously bad influence on the development of children. Intervention should be given to the children with ASD as early as possible so that it will help their development and adaptation for life. Family-centered early intervention gives service to children with ASD and their families. A lot of researches demonstrated that family-centered early intervention can effectively improve problems of the children and meet the needs of their families. However, there are few researches accordingly. Thus, based on other researches about family-centered early intervention of children with ASD, the present research cooperated with the family and adopted floor time to implement intervention to a32-month child with ASD, aiming to explore whether the development of the child will be improved in all domains. Life Satisfaction Index A, Social Support Assessment and Family Assessment Device were given to the family before and after the intervention. With the results and further interview, the influence to the family was investigated. Then, suggestions and trends of future study were given to the family-centered early intervention of children with ASD.The results of the present research found that:(1) the child made good gains in sensory, gross motor, fine motor, language and communication, cognition, social interaction, self-help skill, and imitation after intervention.(2) The first6months was conceived to be the critical period of the current intervention.(3) The maternal life satisfaction was improved obviously by Dingding’s progress, her gains on the intervention, and opportunity for the new job.(4) The whole social support the family received in the process of intervention was increased. It is worth noting that support from other parents of children with ASD was a very important support source for the family, and understanding from other people and economic aid were in greatest need.(5)Family functioning in different aspects was improved after intervention. Good atmosphere and channel of communication and clear reasonable family role will help the implementation of the intervention and the healthy operation of the family. Hence, adopting floor time in the family-centered early intervention of children with ASD can effectively promote their development in every domain. And family-centered early intervention has positive effects on family’s life satisfaction, social support and functioning.
