Occupational burnout is a typical factor that restricts teacher’smental health and development. It’s direct impact on teachingeffectiveness and the education of students. There are many researchesabout it. But the information about the different stages of professionaldevelopment of teachers burnout is not yet in--depth study of the problem.In particular, English teachers of junior middle school in Wuhai there isno one who has conducted any research about Occupational burnout. Ittakes50English teachers in junior middle school in Wuhai. It aims atanalyzing and discussing the general condition of job burnout; theburnout factors and internal relations and differences; the intervention ofstrategies about job burnout of English teachers in Wuhai according tothis reality in the region.We used Maslach’s MBI as an original version. Then we revised itbased on the situation of junior middle school in Wuhai where wesurveyed. The questionnaire has three dimensions. They are emotionexhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment. We used thequestionnaire to investigate fifty English teachers in Wuhai. The study result tells us that: the teachers’ job burnout is not serious. But someteachers have had apparent job burnout emotion. The English teachers ofWuhai junior middle school are in the general level of occupationalburnout. In three dimensions, the first one is a low sense of achievement,followed by emotional exhaustion dimension. austion dimension. Theeffect of different Character, age,teaching age and technical post onteacher’s occupational burnout is not signify-cant. But the formation anddevelopment of occupational burnout is affected amount of impact onteaching mission English teacher in Wuhai. High-volume tasks are moreserious burnout.Then we continued to survey the teachers about teachers’ job burnoutinfluencing factors. We used another questionnaire which was designedby Li Bing. It contains eight factors. They are students, workload,vocational development, work environment, interpersonal relationship,teaching skills, education reform and sense of security and teachers’character. We found work environment, interpersonal relationship andworkload are three main influencing factors.Based on the investigation we put forward some countermeasuresagainst teachers’ job burnout.
