For a long time, Grammar Teaching was a main teaching method that was adopted by most teachers. During English Teaching, there were varieties of ways followed such as, explanation approach, inductive approach, deductive approach and PPP approach (present, practice, production) and so on to help students to master English rules. Of course, at the beginning, these could help students understand English rules well. However, their disadvantages also appeared, that is, after students mastered basic grammar knowledge, they couldn’t use it in a real situation. As a result, many teachers and linguists began to doubt about Grammar teaching. There is no doubt it is necessary to teach grammar. It is the base of learning a language, which affects the accuracy of using a language. So it is not whether the grammar should be taught but how the grammar is taught that counts. In the study, the author focused on the effective means of how to teach grammar in class. And the task-based approach would be adopted as a useful way to solve the problems which existed in the traditional grammar teaching. In all there were100students who took part in the experiment. Based on the analysis and discussion, the result of the study of the Task-based approach in grammar teaching had greatly encouraged students’participation in learning process and had a significant and positive effect on grammar teaching grammar learning.
