The success of humane education depends on scientific, rational curriculum setting, the National South-West Associated University remained advanced ideas in curriculum design under the merely arduous historical condition. This dissertation regards the humane curriculum offered in the National South-West Associated University as the breakthrough point, discussing the theoretical basis, type, characteristics of the content, effect and curriculum offered, enlightenment of thought foundation, curriculum, etc. are combed and explained. There is an attempt to analyze and synthesize some successful universal experience of humane education from the experience of The National South-West Associated University to guide nowadays related education.The dissertation centers on the guidelines of humane curriculum (Educational view of the generalist) of the National South-West Associated University, to launch our deep arguments. Have introduced the type, concrete content and achievement of humane curriculum of the associated university firstly, detailed analysis on how the whole school public required curriculum (e. g.university’s national literature and college English for freshmen), philosophy and history, etc. subject-specific basic test and relevant elective curricula, to train and improve students’humane and spiritual quality. Secondly, we may benefit a lot from the summarization of some characteristics of humane curriculum:great attention were paid to basic curriculum of humanity with the guarantee that students had sturdy and deep humane rudimentary knowledge and accomplishment by setting up the high credit under the instruction of famous professors and strict examination system; the utilization of free and flexible elective curriculum system to ensure students to obtain overall and systematic humane knowledge and omni-directional soul guiding; overall influence from stimulating campus culture for the cultivation of student’s psychological quality. Finally, this dissertation combines the reality of the humane curriculum reform of the universities with that in National South-West Associated University, putting forward the enlightenments from humane curriculum:1) the close combination of basic curriculum of humanity and professional curriculum;2) that of required curriculum and elective curriculum;3) that of learning in and out of the classroom.
