This paper gives a brief introduction of a whole process, of which,the Barg Mongolians’ migration from the Gazhur temple to the Hulunbuirprairie and their settlement in there. Furthermore, plenty of data anddocuments are adopted in this essay for introducing Ganzur temple,Gazur religious rites and Ganzur Bazaar. Ganzur religious rites normallyhosted once a year. In the rites, many religious believers surroundingGanzur temple, came to worship, simultaneously it provided a goodbusiness platform to merchants. At the same time, along with theformation of Temple Fair, it made herdsmen in worship obtain theirnecessities in the market. Additionally, Huge commercial profits not onlyhave attracted domestic merchants to come to do business, but also havedriven foreign business men from Russia, Japan, Europe and the UnitedStates come to the market for commercial activities. Therefore, uniqueGanzur temple Fair came to appearance and be well known in all overworld. Ganzur as Hulunbuir region’s largest lama temple, the templeplayed a far-reaching influence on the spread of Tibetan Buddhism(Lamaism) to the local Mongolian people and even on the national fate.However, From the perspective of more than two hundred years’development course of Ganzur temple, it brought about somedisadvantages to the local Mongolians too, but for the role it played in theHulunbuir region’s economic development and cultural exchanges alsocannot be ignored.
