The physics concept is the core of physics study. In the field of physics education research, the research regarding students’understanding of the concept and concept change has been a focus study in international education of science all the time.However, comparing to researches about the Electrostatic field,more attention were paid to the Mechanics in our country.Reviews about students’ concepts of electrostatic field and theory about concept cognitive and concept changing were given,it’s found that the advancing countries have used varieties of methods to study students’ understanding of concept about the electrostatic field,and they have also paid attention to student’s deep thinking.While compared to the advancing countries,there are much less concept cognitive researches on students’ understanding of electrostatic field in our country. Besides,the researches in our country are mainly focus on the DC circuit.On the other hand,the researches on students’ concepts of electrostatic field in our country are mainly based on the study of advancing countries, which needs to dig and classify the deep thinking the students have.Based on the reviews above,this dissertation has formed a test through making some modification and supplement to the concept test developed by the advancing countries. Then students from three different levels high schools in Beijing were tested, which points out that there are ten alternative concept in students’ understanding the concept of the electrostatic field.To analyze the reasons for each alternative concept, this dissertation has constructed information diagram about high school students’electrostatics field alternative concept on the basis of the information diagram about high school students’ mechanics misconception. According to the modified theory model, ten information diagrams about students’ alternative concept were developed based on testing results and physics theory and then give the conclusions as follows: First, high school students in our country have various alternative conceptions of the electrostatic field,the reson for each alternative conception is not only the knowledge students have known,but also ontology and experience cognitive modes in students’ brain.Second,it’s proved that the information diagram about the concept of electrostatic field can explain the reasons for each alternative concept,while it’s useful to improve the teaching.Third, the congregated research about ten information diagram points out that there are two kinds of ontology and three kinds of experience cognitive styles relating with students’ alternative concept.Finally, some suggestions about physics teaching were given.
