It has been11years since the National Basic Education CurriculumReform Guidelines was issued in2001. Under the guidance of newcurriculum, physical educators are being invested in the wave of reformpractice. Experiment is the basis of physic, and physics teaching is alsoinseparable from the experiment. In physics teaching in junior high school,demonstration experiment occupies an important position and also has amajor role. However, the research found that junior high school physicsdemonstration experiments in the country are not satisfactory. In the physicalexperiment teaching, the demonstration experiment out rate is low, the resultsare poor, and so it is still an extremely weak link. Conditions andmanagement of the school discourage the enthusiasm of the teachers to do theexperiment; the capacity and quality of teachers also influence the effect ofthe demonstration experiment, which is against the enthusiasm and initiativeof students studying physics, and impact the cultivation of students’ quality. Inthe context of new curriculum reform, how to strengthen and enhance theresults of expeirments, explore its deeper teaching function, let demonstrationexperiments more educational role to play, is the research purpose of thisarticle.The demonstration experiment is an important means of physics teachingas well as an integral part. Demonstration experiments can stimulate students’interest in learning physics; Demonstration experiment can improve theeffectiveness and efficiency of physics classroom teaching and learning;Demonstration experiments can contribute to the improvement of students1cognitive level; Demonstration experiments can develop to good scientificliteracy of students. Therefore, it has significant meaning for the implementation of the new curriculum reform and deepening as well asimproving the physical teaching effectiveness to research to strengthen andimprove the junior high school physics demonstration experiment.In this paper, literature, interviews and experimental method are used.Writer has studied the theory, literature review, interviews with survey,improving the practice and reflection on the effect of ultimately, thensummarized in this article.Here are several measures to strengthen and improve the junior highschool physics demonstration expeirment: Improvement of experimentalenhancements; Changing teaching methods to allow students to participate inthe demonstration experiment; Self-made teaching aids to improve; Usingmultimedia to help demonstration experiment; Arranging atfer-schoolexperiment activities; Doing the expeirment with the life items. The author,based on the requirements of the new curriculum, practice it by myself,through the comparison of students,achievement in the experimental classesand control classes, at last proved that these practices for improving thephysical demonstration experiment is feasible. The same time I found thatcognitive characteristics of demonstration experiments comply with the juniorhigh school students and it is a great help to the development of students’thinking. Physics demonstration experiments not only in addition to letstudents grasp the knowledge and skill, Experiences process,grasp the studythe method of the problem, but also has many educational function to theemotional attitude and values of the students. The new curriculum also putforward higher requirements to the physics teachers,and teachers as ademonstration experiment operator must have a good experimental literacy.
