Physics is an experiment-based science.The establishment of physical concepts and the discovery of physical laws are based on experiments.At present,it's a common way to employ demonstration experiment in teaching high school's physics.Improved design and application on the demonstration experiment in high school physics plays a decisive role for students to learn physics well.However,judging from the actual teaching practice,the result of high school's physics demonstration experiment class is not satisfying.Neither teachers nor students pay enough attention to demonstration experiment.Therefore,this article first conducted a survey and an analysis on the current situation of high school physics demonstration experiment teaching for schools in my area.The survey results show that teachers are very clear about the status of demonstration experiments in physics teaching;very few teachers complete all demonstration experiments.Meanwhile,80% of the teachers choose some demonstration experiments in their teaching.Although the teachers are conscious,they have not diligently studied in real sense.Thus,although the demonstration experiments are done in the classroom,it is not in-depth.Experimental methods and data processing are limited to textbooks,which lacks scalability and openness.In the teaching process,it is not difficult to find that some of the demonstration experiments in the textbook will be affected by local climate,altitude,air humidity and other factors,and some of the experiments are relatively old,which cannot keep up with the development of modern technology.Although the students showed a high interest in the demonstration experiment,they were reluctant to spend time thinking and exploring.In addition,in view of the current teaching status of the demonstration experiment,this article improves the design of some high school physics demonstration experiments andapplies them as a classroom practice.Research shows that the improved design and application of demonstration experiments can enliven the classroom atmosphere.The simple experimental operation enables students to actively participate in the experiment.Students can more effectively establish physics concepts and master the laws of physics,which can better cultivate students' core physics qualities and meet the current mainstream of education.Good physics demonstration experiment teaching can stimulate students 'interest in learning and deepen students' understanding of knowledge,thus consolidating memory and promoting thinking.During the experiment,students can cultivate their observation ability,hands-on ability,analysis and argumentation ability,and cooperative exploration ability.The improved design of the demonstration experiment can make the demonstration experiment better meet the conditions of the teaching location,and can be fully close to the students' life,allowing students to explore and understand the laws of physics from the familiar life phenomena around them.At the same time,the school should combine the physical knowledge and scientific research methods recognized by students with social practice and its application,so that students can experience the practical application of physics in life and production.Let the school truly realize the educational concept of "from physics to life,from life to society".Finally,this article gives some suggestions to high school physics teachers,and expresses the author's beautiful vision for the future physics demonstration experiment teaching.
