Psycho-education concentrates on developing one’s psychological potentiality, optimizingone’s psychological diathesis, forming one’s personality and improving one’s quality of life. Ithas aroused a great deal of interest in psychology research circle in recent years. It reflectsthat psychology research have to meet the needs of social development. So far, it has drawnmuch attention from the education field, even from the whole society. Childhood is the primeage of fostering one’s physical and mental health. The psycho-education which mother givesto her child or children plays a crucial role in their physical and mental health. Childhoodpsycho-education will pave a good way for one’s further physical and mental health building.As now the women who were born in post-80’s are the main maternal group, thepsycho-education of their children has become the focus of present psycho-education andpractice. Therefore this paper takes how those post-80’s mothers carry out psycho-educationas research subject. It is made up of three parts. Part one introduces research background andsignificance, explains the related cored conceptions, and reviews former literature. In this part,the advantages and disadvantages of the psycho-education that the post-80’s mothers give totheir children are pointed out. Additionally, the characteristics of the psycho-educationimplemented by the post-80’s maternal group and their mission are listed out. Then theimportance of psycho-education is revealed. Part two devotes to empirical study. In this part,questionnaire and interviews are employed. Two kindergartens, two baby education centersand300post-80’s mothers in two cities of Kunming and Wenshan have been studied. Theinterior rules of how those mothers perform their psycho-education are analyzed. Part threeprovides the post-80’s mothers with what methods they should take and what mode theyshould follow when they are doing psycho-education. What is more, this part looks into thefuture of psycho-education given by post-80’s mothers.
