The newcurriculum reform in ten years, the teaching of probability level also in the continuousprogress, but the students knowledge level about the probability of really achievecurriculum standards did not know.Especially for high school students of Liberal Arts to learn the probability level iseven more worrying. For all their predecessors in the study found the students prone toerrors, whether in the students of Liberal Arts in the situation will be different, theprobability of the cognitive level of students of liberal arts can achieve what kind oflevel, the effective ways to improve the probability of the cognitive level of what is,These are the author wants through the study of. This research focuses on the cognitivelevel of students in learning probability, so the choice of SOLO classification theory, tounderstand students’ mistakes behind real learning level.This research is mainly divided into three parts:First of all, through the issuance of questionnaires, to understand the students ofliberal arts for misunderstanding, random events predicted results, representativeheuristic error, simple compound method of four kinds of common errors, compared toother studies scholars, a greater proportion of errors in each level, the proportion ofstudents have significant difference.Secondly, shortcomings of existing cognitive level for the liberal arts students,according to the SOLO classification theory, evaluation of the four angles from theteaching objectives, teaching methods, teaching design, teaching, puts forwardsuggestions to improve the teaching of the theory.Finally, this study from the perspective of practice to verify the students on themachine operation simulation of stochastic simulation random experiment is effectivefor students to improve the learning probability. Get the students personally operationcan significantly improve students’ interest in learning mathematics, understanding of random events and the definition of probability to understand, and to a certainextent, changed students error using the predicted results and the simple compoundmethod error, but the student representative heuristic error use although reduced, butthere is still plenty of.
