Estimation is closely related to peopled lives and is an important calculation method that is widely used.Although the new curriculum reform proposes to strengthen the estimation requirements,the current teaching of decimal mathematics still presents the phenomenon of"repetitive calculation and light estimation".It explores the current situation of primary school students' estimation of learning,and tests and divides the level of understanding of students'estimation.Teachers' estimation teaching provides reference for improving the effectiveness of estimation teaching,and it is of great significance to the cultivation of students' estimation consciousness and the formation of sense of number.According to the SOLO classification theory,the students' cognitive level for the knowledge of estimation is divided into four levels,including pre-structure level,single structure,multi structure and associated structure.Through the test volume,interview and other methods,the paper takes the sixth grade students as the research objects and analyzes fron three dimensions,respectively estimation concept,estimation calculation and estimation application.Through the statistical analysis of the test paper and interviews,it is concluded that overall the sixth-grade students9 understanding level of estimation is not high.Students9 understanding to the concept of estimation is generally low,at a single structural level,mainly because of insufficient understanding of the nature of estimation.Students,understanding of estimation operations is mostly at the level of multi structure,only a small number of students can flexibly choose estimation strategies for reasonable calculations and reach the level of associated structure.At the level of the,the main problem is that students master less estimation strategies.Students' understanding of estimation application is mostly at the level of muti structure,the main problem is that students cannot build quantitative relationships correctly.The paper puts forward suggestions from two aspects:textbook writing and estimation teaching.In the preparation of teaching materials,increasing specific estimation knowledge,making clear teaching evaluation criteria and setting flexible estimation topics.For primary mathematics teachers,first of all,update concepts and strengthen understanding of estimating teaching.Secondly,connect with life and improve the level of students' actual use of estimation.Thirdly,infiltrate strategies to enhance students' ability to solve problems flexibly.
