Ethnic Mongolian Students' Consciousness Of Inner Mongolia University

The National consciousness is a common objective phenomenon. It has important implications on ethnic development, ethnic relations and national stability. Minority college students are excellent representative of their ethnicity, shouldering the important mission of ethnic development and national development. Their national consciousness might in some way affect the consciousness of the entire ethnic groups, thereby affecting the development of ethnic and ethnic areas. This study chooses Mongolian college students of several universities in Hohhot for the survey, and researches the status quo of the Mongolian students’national consciousness in Inner Mongolia universities. Based on this, the paper analyzes influence factors on their national consciousness and the positive and negative effects on their behaviors by national consciousness. Then the paper puts forward some feasible suggestions to correctly guide the national consciousness of the Mongolian college students.Remove of the introduction and conclusion, this study is divided into four chapters. The introductory section mainly introduces research purpose and significance, research review, and research methods. Chapter one analyzes the current situation of the national consciousness of the Mongolian college students in Inner Mongolia universities from four aspects, including ethnic attribute consciousness, awareness of ethnic interaction, sense of national rights and interests and the Chinese nation consciousness, in order to have a comprehensive and objective understanding of the national consciousness of the Mongolian college students. Based on the analysis of the survey results, the second chapter in-depth discusses factors that affect the national consciousness of the Mongolian college students, including their own factors, family factors, social and political factors. The national consciousness of the Mongolian college students shows a different state under the combinative influence of these factors. Chapter three has a further research on the impact of the national consciousness on Mongolian students’behavior, including both positive impacts and negative impacts. Combining with the analysis and research of the previous three chapters, I believe that the view "dilute the national consciousness, and to promote national integration" is wrong. The national consciousness of college students needs to take the right means to boot, so I put forward some suggestions from school and social aspects in chapter four to correctly guide the national consciousness of Mongolian college students:in the side of university, first, rich the content and methods of teaching the theory of ethnic, to cultivate the right national outlook; the second is to carry out civic education and enhance students’ sense of national identity and citizenship; third, carry out the education of the Chinese nation, to cultivate the awareness of the Chinese nation; the forth is to innovate the form of education, focusing on the emotional education; Fifth, build a unity, harmony and diverse campus culture environment, to create a good school atmosphere. In the aspect of government politics, this paper describe it from economic development, resource development, politic identity and opposing ethnic discrimination and nationalism. In the aspect of academic study, the paper hopes that scholars should study Chinese ethnic problems and politics on the base of the fact with rigorous and serious attitude. Finally, the conclusion summarizes the content of the research on the overall.
